When you’ve been voted #1 in the Mid-Atlantic region of Brides magazine, you have a certain image to uphold and a high level of service to provide all of the vibrant women who turn to your bridal salon for their big day. So, when Betsy Robinson’s Bridal Collection in Owings Mills turned to Foxtrot to develop a more responsive website that would meet the changing needs of their clientele, we knew we had a lot of heads to turn.
For Robinson’s Bridal, mobile was the key to developing a site that would meet the needs of their customers. Through research and looking at their site analytics, we found that the majority of their clients were engaging them through mobile, yet their old website was not mobile-friendly.
According to Owner, Betsy Robinson, “The new site is much more mobile-friendly than our previous site. Information loads faster for our customers and is much easier to read and navigate. The majority of our customers rely on their smartphones when searching for gowns and vendors, and by having a mobile-friendly site we ensure that we are able to compete with other similar vendors.”
So, we got to work and developed a beautiful, fully responsive website based on their branding. Images and showcases of the beautiful wedding gowns were paramount to maintaining the brand and catering to the needs of brides-to-be. The new site also features a collection of beautiful photographs of “Betsy’s Brides,” as well as information on trunk shows, sample sales, designers and customer reviews.
The new WordPress website is now user-friendly with a modern and functional design. Best of all, utilizing the WordPress CMS allows the staff at Robinson’s Bridal to easily manage and update the information on their own.
“We really love our new WordPress website,” says Betsy. “It has a sleeker, cleaner, and more modern look, and it presents all our information in a much more user-friendly fashion. The toolbar is easier to navigate, and the arrangement of the photo gallery and the bridal blog make our site look more professional and more current than previously.”
Betsy adds, “It is also much easier for my staff to make quick updates to our new site without having to have extensive web development knowledge. The ability to make these quick adjustments allows us to respond to the needs of our customers faster, and that speed is key. We can update events and make changes to our list of merchants with just a few clicks, and that means that our customers are always getting access to the most current information.”
Since we launched the new website, Robinson’s Bridal has not only seen their page views increase, but the mobile engagement with their clients has also improved significantly. The website now ranks #1 in Google search for Bridal for local searches and we expect their google rank to continue to hold strong because they have such a quality mobile experience.
Robinson’s Bridal also took the leap to utilizing the JustMailto service. As a result, they have seen the number of inquiries increase thanks to the ease in contacting the bridal salon through a simple email.
