An older release of Theme.co’s Pro theme could enter an infinite loop after an upgrade to WordPress 6.2. The loop exhausted available memory, leaving affected websites with an HTTP 500 error or a blank page.
The theme developer released a fix, but the error could prevent access to the WordPress dashboard. The following temporary workaround was used to restore dashboard access so the theme could be updated.
Using your FTP client, open wp-content/themes/pro/framework/legacy/functions/plugins/cornerstone.php. Locate the two filter registrations shown below and comment them out.
Find the audio filter registration:
add_filter( 'wp_audio_shortcode_library', 'x_native_wp_audio_shortcode_library' );
Add comment markers at the start of the line:
//add_filter( 'wp_audio_shortcode_library', 'x_native_wp_audio_shortcode_library' );
Next, find the video filter registration, approximately 40 lines farther down:
add_filter( 'wp_video_shortcode_library', 'x_native_wp_video_shortcode_library' );
Comment out that line as well:
//add_filter( 'wp_video_shortcode_library', 'x_native_wp_video_shortcode_library' );
After saving the changes, sign in to the WordPress dashboard and install the theme update that resolves the compatibility issue.
